Dr. Arati M. Dixit received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Wayne State University (WSU), where she also completed a Certificate in Scientific Computing. She is an alumna of IIT Bombay and the University of Pune, holding an M.Tech and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, respectively. Currently working as an Independent Consultant, her professional experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist at Applied Research Associates Inc. and a Teaching Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at North Carolina State University. She has also been associated with the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology and Savitribai Phule Pune University and has served on several Boards of Studies and Research Recommendation Committees. Her areas of expertise and/or interest include AI and Security Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cyberphysical Systems, and Education Technology. An ACM Senior Member, Arati is currently the Chairperson of the Regional Activities Committee for the ACM-W Global Leadership Team. She previously served as the Chairperson of ACM-W India (2017–2019) and was instrumental in coordinating the ACM India summer school for women on "Information Security and Forensics." Additionally, she is the founding Vice-Chairperson of ACM iSIGCSE and Chairperson of the ACM Pune Professional Chapter. A frequent speaker for the ACM India Eminent Speaker Program, she has delivered over 60 talks and received the 2019 Outstanding Contribution to ACM Award for her work in expanding ACM programs and diversity in India.
